Welcome to Rocking Horse Chaps. We would like to invite you to take a look at our high quality hand-crafted leather products. Rocking Horse chaps began when we searched for a pair of chaps for our grandson’s first birthday over 20 years ago. We could not find any chaps that were quality made leather chaps like real working cowboys wear. So we decided to make a pair for him. As our grandchildren multiplied so did the need for chaps.
            We would take our grandchildren with us to the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio, all wearing their chaps of course. Upon seeing the response from everyone we realized there were other people looking for the same thing for their children and grandchildren. We then began making a variety of children’s chaps and chinks and Rocking Horse Chaps was born.
            Frank has been working in leather crafting and saddle repair for over 20 years. He does excellent tooling and stamping on our products. His attention to detail makes each pair of chaps or chinks heirloom quality.
            Terrie has been a seamstress for 37 years and does most of the sewing and cutting. All of our work is handcrafted by us in our shop. We make children and adult size chaps and chinks as well as many other specialty leather items such as belts, spur straps, journal covers, judges books, cow counters, and saddle bags.
